Award winning local artist, Debbie Lee Mostel’s work begs the oceanic question: “Can we get back in balance?” Her 12 –foot “Red Sea Triptic” is one of her pieces featured at the exhibit at Jonathan Dickinson’s Kimbell Center. Opening reception & awards, Friday, October 4th at 6:30-9:00 and runs through Nov. 17th
The show highlights new perspectives toward underwater life and Mostel’s unique relationship combining nature & technology certainly will not disappoint. Those who understand the responsibility of balance in nature will be awed and those who have a comfortable relationship with technology will be amused. Together, nature lovers and techies smile at Debbie’s thought provoking work.
The evening also features Florida International University’s Dr Michael Heithaus, who will present his work on the behaviors & interactions of bull sharks in the Loxahatchee River. Valuable prizes including scuba lessons, clothing & sports equipment will be raffled off.
The reception is free and will also include wine & hors d’oeuvres. Please rsvp at the Kimbell Center, 561-745-5551, libby(dot)reinert(at)dept(dot)stste(dot)fl(dot)us
