AttorneyOne.com, a recognized authority on law, updated the website recently and they are now actively providing expert opinion in view of the recent news on Pradaxa lawsuits and potential Pradaxa Class Action lawsuit.
On October 2, four new lawsuits were filed in Illinois Southern District Court by plaintiffs alleging that their relatives died or suffered serious injuries from Pradaxa (cases no. 3:2013cv51379, 3:2013cv51377, 3:2013cv51376, 3:2013cv51380). Pradaxa (dabigatran etexilate), manufactured by Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, is a new oral anticoagulant mainly used as a blood thinner for patients who are at risk for stroke or atrial fibrillation. In the lawsuits, some of the plaintiffs claim that their relatives died months after taking Pradaxa and some others claim that they suffered chronic bleeding.
According to court documents the next Status Conference of the Pradaxa Multidistrict Litigation (MDL) is scheduled for October 8 (MDL No. 2385, U.S. District Court, Southern District of Illinois). Data, updated on September 11, indicate that there are 1,422 actions pending in the Pradaxa MDL.
Taking into consideration the latest developments, AttorneyOne.com updated the website and, now, can actively provide an expert opinion including how to get in contact with legal counsel easily and inexpensively in case of alleged Pradaxa severe complications. Sean Burke, director of Media Relations at AttorneyOne.com, adds that the relevant information illustrates that people continue to file Pradaxa lawsuits. "For that reason", he continues, "our focus should squarely fall on getting the word out and assisting people in finding the right legal assistance.”
On June 19, a man filed a lawsuit in Illinois Southern District Court (case no. 3:2013cv50923) alleging that his mother suffered injuries from Pradaxa and died. According to the lawsuit, the plaintiff's mother was prescribed Pradaxa to maintain her atrial fibrillation in 2011 and, a few months later, she suffered gastrointestinal bleeding and died.
AttorneyOne.com has further information on Pradaxa lawsuits including how to get in contact with legal counsel.
