David B. Weinstein, managing shareholder of the Tampa office and Chair of the national Environmental & Toxic Tort practice of international law firm Greenberg Traurig P.A, has been elected to the Board of Trustees of the David A. Straz, Jr., Center for the Performing Arts. He will serve a three-year term.
In this role, he will work with fellow board members to support the organization’s goals in presenting world-class performances and sustaining an emphasis on innovative arts education programs and outreach activities throughout the Tampa Bay area. “I’m honored to help support the mission of this institution that plays such an important role in our community,” Weinstein said.
At Greenberg Traurig, Weinstein has an active civil and criminal litigation practice, with an emphasis on environmental, business, health care and other complex matters. His long record of service to the legal profession and the community includes serving on the Board of Directors for WEDU, West Central Florida's primary public broadcasting station, and in various leadership roles within the American Bar Association, including as Chair of its Environmental Enforcement & Crimes Committee. Throughout his career, he has received numerous awards and accolades for his work, such as being listed in The International Who's Who of Business Lawyers, The International Who's Who of Environment Lawyers, Chambers USA, Legal 500 US, and The Best Lawyers in America.
