Shortly before 11am on October 3, 2013, a mechanic working inside a warehouse in the Flushing neighborhood of Queens was tragically killed after being crushed by a forklift, according to this October 3rd New York Post article titled "Man killed in freak forklift accident". According to the article, the handyman was trying to fix a mechanical issue with the forklift when it suddenly gave way and crushed him. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident occurred outside of Raw Equipment Corp. on 28th Avenue on College Point Boulevard.
