Lloyd Irvin Martial Arts Kids Team Dominates the Competition at NAGA Pennsylvania Championship
Downingtown, PA (PRWEB) October 04, 2013 -- Maryland Mixed Martial Arts Training has really grown over the years, and the leader in the Maryland mixed martial arts community has been Lloyd Irvin Martial Arts Academy in Camp Springs, MD. It’s PG County’s most successful martial arts program and one of the largest, most successful youth programs in the entire east coast. Lloyd Irvin Martial Arts Academy first opened its doors in 1996 to adults and children, bringing martial arts such as gracie jiu jitsu, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, sombo, wrestling, Judo, boxing, and Thai boxing to the community.
Now, over 15 years later, Lloyd Irvin Martial Arts Academy continues its dominating success in the grappling sports. This past weekend, September 28, 2013, the Lloyd Irvin Martial Arts Academy traveled to the NAGA (North American Grappling Association) Pennsylvania Tournament. The competition was held at the United Sports Center in Downingtown, PA.
The Lloyd Irvin Martial Arts Academy Youth team brought home over 20 gold medals and dozens of silver and gold medals. Even the beginners got in the mix, with first time EVER competitors Andrew, Jazmine, and Tion bringing home two golds among the three.
Six Lloyd Irvin Martial Arts Academy students fought in the intermediate divisions, all bringing home second or third place. Five students competed in the youth expert division for the first time, all doing well, with hard fought matches.
