"A hybrid of stand-up comedy routine and cabaret act, Crazytown tells the (allegedly) true story of how Treder-Wolff achieved her own psychological breakthrough as a result of working with wackos," writes reviewer Regina Robbins on Theatre Is Easy. "Between her patients’ delusions and her own, Treder-Wolff has a lot of voices to blend together in Crazytown. She does so with good humor and a minimum of fuss. It’s a pleasure to spend time with a talented actress and singer who has seen some scary stuff, yet emerged with her sense of humor intact and ready to sing." Electronic Link-Off-Broadway says "Crazytown provides instant relief from the blues."
Jude Treder-Wolff has been writing and performing solo storytelling-style shows with songs since 1998. Her shows have been featured at Danny's Skylight Room, The Laurie Beechman Theatre, Broadway Comedy Club and The Duplex in New York City, The Vail-Leavitt Theater in Riverhead NY, The Ward Melville Education and Culture Center in Stonybrook NY, Ovations Cabaret Club in Houston, TX, ArtSpace in Santa Fe, NM, and Bucketworks in Milwaukee.
