J. Sugarman Auction Corp will conduct the Live portion of the Public Auction for the “Magic City” Show Props, Set Designs, & other miscellaneous items tomorrow, Saturday, October 5, 2013 at 11am and will continue on Sunday, October 6th, 2013 at 11am at 3663 NW 21st Street, Miami, FL 33142.
There are over 2,500 lots of nostalgic midcentury items from the “Magic City” show to be auctioned off to the best and highest bidder on Saturday and Sunday. Every item will be sold regardless of price.
The items come from a nostalgic time of the Golden Age of Television, when people used to say “Swell” and “Gee Whiz” – men and women were called “Dolls and Dames”. Teenagers liked to hang out at the malt shops and listen to the juke boxes playing “Elvis Presley.” These were prosperous times when everyone began having TVs in their homes. Miami in the 1950’s was the place to be for all the high society and entertainers – on “Magic City”, the Miramar Playa Hotel was one of those places.
Below are just a few of the collectible items being auctioned, some are even considered antiques.
There will be an additional 30 items that will also be auctioned simultaneously online on Saturday.
