The weekly podcast of September 27, 2013 for Jonathan Goodman, professor of The School of Internet Marketing and president of Halyard Consulting, was focused on why he does his podcast on Spreaker.com. This topic was the subject of his presentation for the Affiliate Summit NYC Meetup.

Goodman went through his process of creating the podcast, including each person who assists him prior to the recording and the marketing tools he uses to promote it after the podcast is recorded. He discussed each segment of the podcast and the topics he covers. He detailed what he handled himself and what was handed off to others.

In speaking about why he does the podcast, Goodman explained that it was a low-cost method of marketing his brand. It's not only relevant for now but for in the future because the episodes are always available. He also discussed the importance of using statistics to determine the success of a marketing method such as this. He has seen his audience grow with 435 plays within the last 30 days.

Goodman has made changes with his podcast, including his opening and when he records it live. Using the statistics that he gathers, he can tell what is working and make tweaks to make this a successful way of introducing his brand to more people.
