New Accelerometer From ELTG Inertial Aerosystems

The new 1521 sensor offers a number of benefits over its predecessors (the 1210 and 1221):
Functions at temperatures of up to 175 degrees Celsius
Survives at least 2,000g shock unpowered
Boosts performance by 100 per cent
Offers improved stability and repeatability
Is not subject to magnetic interference
Does not contain environmentally damaging lead components
Is not an ITAR controlled product
Background to the New 1521 Accelerometer
ETLG Inertial Aerosystems has developed the sensor in ranges from 2g to 200g FS. It aims to market the accelerometer to down hole tools, unmanned vehicle inertial navigation, tilt and position and seismic applications.
The new 1521 accelerometer is based on an 8mm, 20-pin square chip.
