The Oxford Hoops of the EBL are now set to change their name to Oxford City Basketball. This new season for Oxford Basketball is historic, as they welcome a new owner, a new arena, and a new era of expectations.

CEO & President of Oxford City Football Club, Inc. (OTCQB:OXFC), Thomas Anthony Guerriero, officially announced that he has successfully acquired the Oxford Hoops of the EBL. As one of the youngest owners in the NBA with the Springfield Armor of the NBA D League and his success since becoming the CEO of Oxford City Football Club, Guerriero is confident that his experience and expertise will lead Oxford City Basketball into a championship organization.

Mr. Guerriero commented, “This acquisition shows our commitment to the City of Oxford. We are very excited to bring a professional basketball team under the Oxford City brand. Our commitment to winning and strengthening our strong community efforts through Oxford City has never been stronger.”

Head Coach, Francisco "Franky" Marulanda, stated, "Mr. Guerriero will bring a level of expertise and professionalism that will take our team to be globally recognized. Its very exciting to see how things will unfold as we put Oxford City Basketball on the map as a force to be reckoned with."

Oxford Hoops currently plays their games at the Oxford Basketball Arena, which is one of the largest indoor sports facilities in all of Oxford. This arena is home to several basketball courts, several futsal courts, and the home courts for both Oxford City Basketball and Oxford City Futsal. Oxford will finish the season as the Hoops and effectively play the 2014-2015 season as their first season under the Oxford City Basketball crest.
