The FNCE™ features more than 8,000 registered dietitians, nutrition science researchers, policy makers, health care providers and industry leaders who will conduct new educational session tracks and several workshops and excursions.
• When: Saturday-Tuesday, October 19-22, 2013
• Where: George R. Brown Convention Center, Houston, Texas
The FNCE™ is held annually by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and is the premier event for food and nutrition professionals. Featured tracks at this year’s event include “Educating the Educators,” “Obesity and Weight Management,” “Technology for Practice” and “Research.”
Benedictine representatives will be available at booth No. 1269 to discuss the online M.S. in Nutrition and Wellness program, which is designed especially for Registered Dietitians and others with a life or physical sciences background. The degree features a robust curriculum that includes key topics such as nutrition and health risk assessment, motivation, intervention and evaluation, and an applied research component.
Students can select from two concentrations: Health Education, which prepares students to take the Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) examination by the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing (NCHEC); or Nutrition Entrepreneurship, which prepares students to establish, expand and manage a nutrition and food-related business.
In addition to the online M.S. in Nutrition and Wellness, Benedictine offers free online Continuing Professional Education (CPE) courses designed especially for Registered Dietitians looking to advance their knowledge and prepare for re-certification.
