HCW to Build $71.3 million Development in Downtown Evansville, Indiana, Including a 255 room 10-Story Hotel and Convention Center
Branson, MO (PRWEB) October 11, 2013 -- HCW, LLC, a Missouri Limited Liability Company headquartered in Branson, Missouri, announced today that it has been given the green light by the Evansville, Indiana City Council to build a $71.3 million Convention Center, Hotel and ancillary projects in Downtown Evansville. The Evansville City Council voted 9-0 to provide $20 million in bond financing, with $7.5 Million toward the hotel and $12.5 million to construct a 311-space expandable parking garage, infrastructure, streetscape and a sky-bridge connector system linking the Ford Arena, the Centre and the hotel properties. HCW, LLC will provide $38.5 million, with the balance of funding to be provided by local Evansville private enterprise. The development also includes 78 Class A apartments.
HCW, LLC answered the City’s Request for Proposal approximately 12 months ago. HCW’s team includes architect Butler, Rosenbury & Partners and contractor Killian Company, both from Springfield, Missouri.
According to Richard Huffman, CEO of HCW, LLC, “we are pleased with the City Council’s unanimous approval and the local financial support shown by the Evansville business community.” Huffman further stated, “This hotel will provide a significant component in furthering the economic development of downtown Evansville and create jobs that will strengthen the community.”
The Hotel and Convention Center is expected to open in the fall of 2015.
