Free Career Fair for Military Members and Spouses in Washington, DC October 18
Alexandria, Va. (PRWEB) October 07, 2013 -- A free career fair for all officers, enlisted, active duty, retired, former, National Guard/Reserve servicemembers and their spouses, and government employees will be held Friday, Oct. 18, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in the Ballroom. Pre-career fair seminars begin at 9 a.m. The center is at 801 Mt. Vernon Place N.W., Washington, D.C. 20001, at the Mount Vernon Square/Convention Center Metro stop. The career fair is hosted by the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA).
Employers from 30 regional and national companies will look for potential employees in a variety of job skills. Businesses and organizations attending include: Amazon, Bank of America, Booz Allen Hamilton, Lockheed Martin Corp., and more.
Several free, 60-minute pre- career fair transition seminars are open to the public. "How to Work a Career Fair” will be held from 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. “Getting the Most From Your MOAA Membership” will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. “LinkedIn Best Practices” will be held from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. “Women in Transition: Professional Imaging” will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. “Federal Job Application Preparation” will be held from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. “Seamless Transition” will be held from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. “Evaluating Employee Benefit Plans” will be held from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
