Edaville Launches New Family-Friendly Halloween Event: Pumpkins Aglow Opens in October 9
Carver, MA (PRWEB) October 08, 2013 -- Edaville USA, long known for its Christmas Festival of Lights is breaking into the Halloween business. This year they’ll run three weeks of Pumpkins Aglow, a family-friendly event designed to appeal to the kid in everyone. The centerpiece of the event will be a garden of intricately carved pumpkins staged with professional lighting and sound effects. Rounding out the entertainment will be the park goers themselves dressed in their Halloween best – as kids in costume can trick-or-treat throughout the park.
“Families want a fun yet safe environment for celebrating Halloween, someplace where the kids won’t get nightmares and the parents can have a great time too,” stated owner Jon Delli. “And fall is such a great time to be outdoors in New England, we’re confident we can build this into Edaville’s next big family tradition.”
Orchestrating the pumpkin designs is up-and-coming gourd artist Chris Viera. He works with Villafane Studios out of New York City, creating incredibly life-like carvings for audiences around the world. Having just returned from an extended carving stint in Hong Kong, Chris is excited to take up residence at Edaville through October 27, as it’s much closer to his home in Cumberland, Rhode Island.
Pumpkins Aglow runs Wednesdays through Fridays, 4 – 9 pm, October 9 – 27. Tickets are $19 for ages 2-59, $16 for ages 60 +, and under 2 is free. Admission includes all Halloween activities and trick-or-treating, the 20-minute train ride, and unlimited use of 13 family-style amusement rides.
