Welcome two new experienced professionals to the team.

The Sheraton Roanoke Hotel & Conference Center is excited to announce the most recent additions to its well-reputed catering/event planning team, Janet Hoskins and Rachel Van Liew.

Hoskins comes to Sheraton Roanoke as a catering manager after years of experience with management, team building, menu planning, event management and sales. She received her B.S. in Political Science from Bridgewater College in Virginia and her Associate of Science in Culinary Arts from the Johnson and Wales University in Charlotte, NC. From there, Hoskins went on to work in the service department at the Charlotte Country Club, as a chef at the Aramark at the University of Virginia, as a catering manager with the Shebeen Catering Outfit and a special events catering sales manager with the Aramark at James Madison University, among others. She is thrilled to share her knowledge of the culinary arts and catering with the team at the Sheraton Roanoke Hotel & Conference Center.

Van Liew hails from Ann Arbor, MI and also joins the Sheraton Roanoke Hotel and Conference Center staff as a catering manager. She received her formal education in nutrition and event planning from Eastern Michigan University, Penn Foster Career School and Correlations, LLC. Van Liew has over nine years of extensive experience in customer service, event planning and catering, working as the sales and conference services manager at the Ann Arbor Regent Hotel & Suites. She looks forward to being a contributing member of the Sheraton Roanoke Hotel & Conference Center team.
