New Compass Health Program Creates Healthier Businesses

Compass Health Wellness & Prevention integrates a multi-faceted workplace program into local businesses and organizations, and is led by Wellness Director Julian Varela, MS-CSCS, MA-MFT-I. As a certified strength and conditioning specialist and therapist, Varela has both the experience and expertise to improve the health of individuals, families and communities. He has had nearly two decades of experience in the health and wellness industry, and is well-known locally as the co-founder of Equilibrium Fitness in San Luis Obispo.
“One of my favorite hats to put on is that of a therapist and wellness coach as I get to blend my experiences and expertise and help people in a way I've never thought possible,” Varela said. “We act as an extension of a team and are onsite regularly to help champion the program.
