New Show Tumbleweed Proves That YouTube Entertainment Can Look Great on TV
Pasadena, CA (PRWEB) October 08, 2013 -- Taking YouTube production to the next level, Good Cops Entertainment announced the release of its latest web series, Tumbleweed. Inspired by the western video game, 'Red Dead Redemption,' this action/comedy follows a gamer (Bang), who plays a character in the most immersive video game in history (Tumbleweed). Thanks to the realism of the game, Bang finds himself desperately wanting to shoot everything he sees and have “relations” with all of the beautiful women in the game. But the game is not only immersive, it has an intelligent “consequence engine” which punishes gamers who do not play by its rules. Bang finds himself in an all out battle with the game itself and hilarity ensues.
Known for producing high quality productions, the Good Cops team releases 'Tumbleweed' on the heels of the second season of their hit comedy, also called Good Cops. Good Cops was released by YouTube giant Machinima, on its 'Original Channel,' Machinima Prime and the show’s producer, Noel Carroll, credits Machinima for helping them to meet the bold goals of 'Tumbleweed,' “We wanted to make a show that could stand next to the content on network television. Without the advice and encouragement of our channel partner, Machinima, or the support of our investment partner, Room 568 Productions, we could not have done it.”
When asked if he thought that they had achieved the goal of creating a TV quality show on the web, Carroll said: “I guess you’ll have to watch it and find out.”
