Saint Jude Retreats Releases First BlogTalkRadio Show
New York (PRWEB) October 08, 2013 -- The Saint Jude Retreats Program is excited to announce that as of today, October 8, 2013, the first show of the Saint Jude Retreats Radio Series is now available for download and listening. The first show, hosted by Executive Director Michelle Dunbar, includes a background of the Saint Jude Retreats Program, trending addiction topics and an interview with Co-Founder Mark Scheeren. Saint Jude Retreats, a true alternative to rehab and treatment for drugs and alcohol, will broadcast the show through social media networks twice a month.
The first Saint Jude Retreats Radio show can be found on the company’s Facebook and Twitter pages.
In the interview, Scheeren discusses his own drinking and drugging problems prior to the Saint Jude Retreats. He quotes, “I went to AA because that’s all there was back then and I was court-mandated to do show. However I quickly realized, there was no method that could make me sober, there’s no program that can change anyone. I made the decision one day that I was going to change my life and be more efficient and productive in my future. I wasted a year and a half of my life being broken by treatment which is why I am so passionate about getting people the right help they need today through the Saint Jude Program.”
Melissa Kluska, Public Relations Coordinator, is pleased with the first show. She quotes, “The Saint Jude Retreats Radio is going to be a wonderful opportunity to truly educate people on what addiction is and what it is not. We are hoping to educate more people on overcoming drug and alcohol use while dispelling myths, and cultural ideas regarding the treatment and rehab industry. Contrary to popular belief, anyone can overcome a substance use issue, it just takes hard work, self-change and commitment; once people grasp this concept they feel an immense feeling of empowerment. We hope to continue to spread this encouragement to more people; it’s time for a change.”
The Saint Jude Retreats used methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Education (CBE) and Neuroplasticity to help guide individuals struggling with substance use through a self-change process.
