Malvern, PA (PRWEB) October 08, 2013 -- Jacoby Solutions has released “REGI-Pro©,” the Product Registration add-on module for CPSIA Ready©, providing companies that are utilizing the cloud-based software system an additional tool for reducing the time and resources required to become and remain compliant. The new “REGI-Pro” add-on module provides companies manufacturing durable infant and toddler products, including car seats, an easy way to capture and store consumer contact information at the product level. Completed consumer product registration records are dropped into the system at the product level by production run/batch. In the event of a recall or safety notice, this production level identification enables companies to easily identify affected customers and alert them by exporting a mailing list or sending an email directly from the CPSIA Ready software.
The new “REGI-Pro” module offers two versions of the consumer registration cards for durable infant and toddler products, a default CPSC version and an NHTSA version for car seat registration. Both forms are branded with the company’s logo and include fields in English and Spanish, along with instructions on where to find a product’s label information, to help to generate more accurate product registrations. Custom fields on both versions of the electronic registration cards capture product family, product model number and production run/batch information to allow companies to use “REGI-Pro” across all product categories in the system. Companies receiving registration cards by mail can type the consumer contact and product information into the “REGI-Pro” form on their website or into an .xls file format and import the data weekly or monthly into CPSIA Ready using the Import and mapping feature.
“The ‘REGI-Pro’ add-on is one more example of CPSIA Ready’s commitment to helping manufacturers simplify compliance. Automating the data collection saves time and money. Storing it by product with batch level identification helps companies become recall ready by making it easy to quickly contact only the consumers affected by a potential product recall or safety notice,” explains Bill Jacoby.
Veteran juvenile products industry distributor, Bill Jacoby, launched CPSIA Ready in June to assist manufacturers in integrating ongoing Consumer Product Safety Information Act (CPSIA) requirements into daily operations to reduce the resources required to become and remain compliant and to exercise due care throughout a product’s life cycle. CPSIA Ready provides manufacturers and importers a comprehensive, product-centric compliance system that enables them to:
