Rock & Roll Legends Team Up For Las Vegas Charity Concert Benefiting Brennan Rock & Roll Academy
Las Vegas, Nevada (PRWEB) October 08, 2013 -- Some of the world’s greatest rock & roll legends are coming together to help bring music to underprivileged children. On December 5, “THE Fundraiser” will take over Las Vegas’ Orleans Arena. The event is being produced by Chuck Brennan, founder of the Brennan Rock & Roll Academy, former music industry executive and philanthropist.
“THE Fundraiser” features Alice Cooper and starts at 8: 30 p.m. on December 5th at Orleans Arena, along with some of the greatest Rock & Roll front-men of all time. Joining Cooper will be rock & roll legends Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Eric Singer and Tommy Thayer of KISS, Vince Neil, Rob Zombie, Dee Snider, Stephen Pearcy, Tom Keifer, Jack Blades, Joey Tempest, and Kip Winger.
One of rock & roll’s most popular tribute bands, Hairball, from Minneapolis, will be the event’s house band and perform with the lead singers of KISS, Alice Cooper, Mötley Crüe, Rob Zombie, Twisted Sister, RATT, Cinderella, Europe, Night Ranger and Winger.

“THE Fundraiser” will benefit the Brennan Rock & Roll Academy and the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Sioux Empire. Brennan founded and developed the Boys & Girls Clubs’ first-ever free music program for its students. The first Brennan Rock & Roll Academy opened this spring in his hometown of Sioux Falls, South Dakota where he grew up as a member of the formerly named “Boys Club.”
“This was the perfect spot to build our first academy, which happens to be just six blocks from where I grew up,” said Brennan. “Since the facility opened in March, we have been blessed to have such rock stars as KISS, Slash, Alice Cooper, Vince Neil, Night Ranger, Robby Krieger and even George Lopez grace the stage and interact directly with the children. The kids have already had experiences of a lifetime and the academy is only in its first year.”
Brennan is a philanthropist who regularly contributes to organizations throughout the country. He is especially generous in Southern Nevada, where he is a major donor to Opportunity Village and Henderson Little League along with dozens of other non-profits. When he founded the Brennan Rock & Roll Academy, he committed more than $3 million dollars to the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Sioux Empire for its ongoing operations.
Cooper, a longtime friend of the Brennan family, was a mentor when Brennan formed the Brennan Rock & Roll Academy. He founded his own non-profit The Solid Rock Foundation in Phoenix. “You have to start somewhere and this is the place where it starts,” said Cooper. “I am very proud to have been the inspiration for the Brennans to open this for the kids.”
Cooper has visited the academy several times to support Brennan during its initial announcement, groundbreaking, grand opening and the dedication of the themed studio “Welcome to My Nightmare”. During one facility tour he said, “I wish we had this when I was a kid. This place has nine sound-proof rehearsal rooms, a studio, a concert hall and a student lounge. It is nicer than anything I have ever seen in my 40 years of touring the world.”
Brennan hopes to raise $1 million at “THE Fundraiser” and said every penny goes directly to the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Sioux Empire and Brennan Rock & Roll Academy. He has helped raise more than $1.8 million so far and said $3.6 million is needed to pay off the first facility in Sioux Falls to get started on future academies in Las Vegas and Los Angeles.
Karen Fogas, CEO of the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Sioux Empire, said “THE Fundraiser” is a sure bet for music lovers because it has a price point for everyone. “You can donate $100 and see the show or spend $50,000 and get a table for ten in the front row, your photo with all the Rock Stars, an autographed guitar, dinner, drinks, and have a celebrity sit at your table,” she said. “This is going to set the bar for all future Las Vegas fundraisers.”
“My vision is to have a Brennan Rock & Roll Academy in every major city in the US within the next 20 years,” said Brennan. “So much has been pulled from public school music programs and so many children can’t afford to pay $100 for a one hour guitar lesson. Brennan himself had no means to learn an instrument as a child. “We gave more than 500 lessons just last month at the academy, completely free of charge to the Boys and Girls Clubs members. This program has already started changing lives.”
