Seattle, WA (PRWEB) October 09, 2013 -- CarpenterDev, LLC announced today that it has completed design of two cases - the HighTop™ Case, and the LowTop™ Case. The cases are designed specifically to fit the Aircraft Device Cradle™ (patent pending) and hold battery powered electronic devices that communicate using Bluetooth® technology with custom apps running on hand-helds such as iPad®, Android® and EFIS equipment. The cases are now ready for production and purchase.
The cases are injection molded of high-impact ABS plastic, and are easily opened for battery replacement. They have an integral seal between the case halves providing weather resistance, and a rotary power switch that is also sealed. The cases are designed for general aviation airplanes that operate below 18,000 feet MSL. The temperature range of the ABS is -40° to 212°F, well within the operating temperature range of GA airplanes. The cases come in high-gloss white, with stainless steel spring clips for binding case halves, green rotary power switch, four AA cell battery bay, and a 3mm power LED.
CarpenterDev offers design services to its customers so that the cases can be customized to a wide variety of device applications, including wingtip strobes, video cameras, and others. Company president, Bob Carpenter, says, "These design services will save customers money by leveraging the existing case designs into customized cases for cradle devices."
CarpenterDev uses a variation of the HighTop Case with pressure and temperature probes, connecting to a Sensor Pak, for the Wireless AirData System™. The Wireless AirData System provides companies the ability to incorporate true air data parameters into their product lines - allowing for the calculation and display of airspeed, density altitude and angle-of-attack.
The Aircraft Device Cradle, the Wireless AirData System, the HighTop and LowTop Cases, and supporting iPad, Android and EFIS applications are expected to start being available in Q1 of 2014.
CarpenterDev welcomes inquiries regarding product purchases, co-marketing partnerships, and/or technology licensing.
