Meehan, a Clearwater, Florida entrepreneur and private helicopter pilot, has committed himself to the superior service of clients for nearly one-quarter of a century, building a positive name as a business owner and job creator both in and around Clearwater, Florida. The expansions of job opportunities in and around Clearwater left Meehan happy with his business, but searching for something more that he could do as a private citizen to assist the at risk population in Pinellas County. Thomas P. Meehan, of Clearwater, Florida, wanted to do something that could bring joy to people that really need nothing more than a simple smile and Christmas felt like the right time. He explained, “I just really wanted to do something that would reflect the season, but give the gift to people that normally are overlooked.”

Meehan hit on the idea of partnering with UPARC to personally offer Santa Claus a lift, flying his own helicopter, to bring the big guy to meet with underprivileged youth from around the Pinellas County region. The program participants from all over Pinellas County were invited, and Santa arriving via personal helicopter service was indeed a hit!
Thomas P. Meehan had previously asked that his participation with flying Santa to the UPARC party go without note, but participants felt that the volunteerism of one business owner from Clearwater, Florida might spark the generosity of others at the start of the Giving Season.
