ALM Tech Group Introduces Hadrian Armor to the US Market
Sullivan, MO (PRWEB) October 10, 2013 -- ALM Tech Group and Optimal Armour, Ltd. are bringing an established line of lightweight hard armor plates to the US market.
The first product to be announced under their Hadrian Armor brand is a lightweight NIJ06 Level IV in-conjunction (ICW) hard armor plate.
Named after the famous Roman Empire fortification, Hadrian’s Wall, the plate weighs 5.1 lbs. and is one of the lightest NIJ06-certified hard armor plates available. Designed to stop .30 caliber armor piercing (AP) bullets, the plate can protect law enforcement and military personnel from repeated shots fired from high power rifles.
“Our lightweight plates give law enforcement officers the protection and performance they need,” said Robert Doherty, President, ALM Tech Group. “Our manufacturing process ensures uniform material consolidation throughout each plate to gain the full advantage of the raw materials. The result is body armor that can withstand strikes from AP bullets and still be extremely lightweight. The armor can be worn for extended periods without affecting performance.”
Hadrian Body Armor is the result of a partnership and licensing contract between ALM Tech Group and Optimal Armour, Ltd. The agreement allows ALM Tech to manufacture and sell a modified version of Optimal Armour’s design in the United States. Hadrian Armor is currently in use by several European Tier One Special Operations Forces.

The combined resources of the companies include full in-house design, manufacturing, and testing capabilities as well as the production and financial resources to fulfill large client orders on short notice. Hadrian Armor is manufactured in ALM Tech Group’s 58,000 sq. ft. facility located in Sullivan, Missouri.
When in full production, ALM Tech’s autoclave – one of the largest privately owned autoclaves in the world – can produce 400 plates per load for a total of 1,600 plates per day.
