Ashland Specialty Ingredients Opens New Battery Testing Laboratory in Delaware to Support Lithium-ion Battery Customers
Wilmington, Del. (PRWEB) October 08, 2013 -- Ashland Specialty Ingredients, a commercial unit of Ashland Inc. (NYSE: ASH), today announced the opening of a new battery testing laboratory in Wilmington, Del. The facility will serve as Ashland’s technology development and support center for lithium-ion battery customers and joins Ashland’s worldwide network of research and development (R&D) and technical centers.
The new laboratory is outfitted with state-of-the-art equipment used to conduct standard testing protocols that customers use to test materials. The laboratory is equipped with dry boxes in controlled environments along with battery cycle-life testing and analysis of the impedance spectra. Staffed with industry experts, the laboratory will ensure customers receive testing data relevant to their specific applications.
