DebtWave Credit Counseling Strengthens Its Commitment to the Military with the Launch of Boost for Our Heroes Program
San Diego, CA (PRWEB) October 10, 2013 -- DebtWave Credit Counseling, Inc. today announced the launch of a new program, Boost for Our Heroes, which will benefit military families by providing financial assistance and education.
Boost for Our Heroes will award funding to an active or inactive military member who is currently experiencing financial hardship. In addition to short-term financial assistance, the Boost for Our Heroes program will also offer financial education and counseling, providing benefits that will last a lifetime.
“We are so grateful to the military for keeping our country safe,” said DebtWave Director of Operations Mike Marsden. “These service men and women protect our freedom, so the least we can do is help to provide a better financial future for them and their families.”
Since 2002, DebtWave has supported the military community by providing personal financial education and counseling to service men and women. Working closely with the Navy & Marine Corps. Relief Society at Naval Base San Diego, the Naval Medical Center San Diego and USO San Diego has reinforced the importance of protecting the financial future of our nation’s heroes.
“Working directly with military organizations has made us more aware of the sacrifices service members make,” said DebtWave Director of Community Outreach Chase Peckham. “Some service members are having difficulty paying for housing and living expenses or struggling with credit card debt. That is why we created this program. These heroes served our country and made it a better place, now it’s time for us to serve them.”
The next DebtWave Boost for Our Heroes giveaway of $3,000 will take place in the first quarter of 2014. For interested military applicants, the deadline to submit an application is December 13, 2013. Please read the rules and regulations for more information and to apply.
