Investigators stated that at 6:15 a.m. on Friday, a 29-year-old officer struck and killed a 59-year-old man who was brought to the hospital and shortly thereafter died from his injuries.

According to the article, the officer has been arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, though other charges are being investigated. The names of the officer and victim have not yet been released while officials are determining exactly what happened.
