I Married Me (http://www.imarriedme.com/) announces the launch of its premiere product, Self-Wedding In-A-Box. Founders Jeffrey Levin, a Los Angeles jewelry designer, and Bonnie Powers, a design strategist, want you to “take the plunge and marry yourself”, beginning with a campaign to raise funds on Indiegogo (http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/i-married-me-self-wedding-in-a-box).
Having conducted a number of self-weddings, including for 120 of their guests at their own wedding reception, the husband and wife team want to spread love by growing this idea to bigger celebrations in as many places as possible.
“It remains so powerful and fulfilling of an experience for people that we decided we wanted to keep spreading that feeling,” says Levin. “Our dilemma was how to continue the movement so we could impact the most people.”
The couple sees the self-wedding idea as a movement that spreads happiness. They insist that a self-wedding ceremony is not a substitute for a relationship. “It’s not about waiting for the right one to complete you. A self-wedding is about completing yourself. Realizing you are the right one,” says Powers. “The more you love yourself, the better able you are to love others.”
The Self-Wedding In-A-Box comes in a fabulous vintage-modern designed blush and mint colored kit with a sterling silver or 14k solid gold unisex ring handcrafted by Levin, the ceremony verbiage, vows, and affirmation cards.
Production begins in mid-November with delivery in time for holiday giving. Pre-sales and other perks are available on the Indiegogo campaign site at http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/i-married-me-self-wedding-in-a-box.
