An efficient, paperless environment, which will include innovative online services to citizens

Sanford, FL (PRWEB) October 15, 2013

Ottawa County, Ohio will soon join the ranks of paperless courts when it converts to the Benchmark case management system in 2014. The new electronic processing system will save time for court staff, clerks, attorneys, and the public, while also unifying many departments within the court.

The new paperless system will eliminate delays created by moving paper court files from department to department. Instead, all departments within the court will now have immediate, real time access to case files in a paperless environment that includes online access, electronic case filing, electronic signatures, and additional features for the public and the court staff.

"After a review of numerous case management system and vendors, Pioneer was selected by the Judges of the Juvenile/Probate Division as well as the General Division of the Common Pleas Court. The Benchmark Program will enable the Common Pleas Courts to increase efficiency by providing a flexible, customized solution to all aspects of case management and adjudication" said James Van Eerten, Court Administrator and Magistrate. "The Benchmark Solution provided by Pioneer will allow the Courts to move to a more efficient paperless case management environment, which will include the option of E-Filing as well as innovative online services to citizens. Our case management selection process was very thorough and included a consideration of price, prior projects, timelines for implementation, customization, customer service, and the ability to provide online services to citizens. We viewed the process not just as purchasing software, but as finding a partner that is the committed to improving the services that the Common Pleas Courts provide to the citizens of Ottawa County".

"We're excited that Ottawa County has selected Benchmark and Pioneer Technology Group for their case management system" said Steve Rumsey, President of PTG. "Our continued expansion into Ohio and other new markets confirms our mission - to listen to our customers and incorporate their input into systems that meet the needs of our courts and the communities they serve."
