Drews Dental Service Hosts a Cash for Extra Candy Drive to Benefit Operation Gratitude
Lewiston, ME (PRWEB) October 09, 2013 -- Drews Dental Services is pleased to announce its Halloween Buy Back program. Bring in any extra candy from Halloween and receive cash for it. The candy will be sent to Operation Gratitude, a non-profit organization that sends care packages to troops overseas.
Candy can be exchanged at Drews Dental Services from Nov. 1-10. They will pay $1 per pound, for up to five pounds for unopened Halloween candy. Visit the office of Dr. Peter J. Drews, DDS, FAGD at 210 Sabattus Street Lewison, M.E., so a soldier overseas can get a sweet treat.
Operation Gratitude sends over 100,000 care packages a year to deployed troops, children of those troops, veterans, Wounded Warriors and their care givers. To date, they have sent over 950,000 care packages and are on target to reach a million. Their mission is to lift spirits and show appreciation. Packages are filled with snacks, entertainment items and personal letters of appreciation to those individuals receiving the package.
