Infinite Campus Wins Chief Learning Officer Award
Blaine, Minn. (PRWEB) October 10, 2013 -- Infinite Campus Inc., the largest American-owned student information system, announced today that Chief Learning Officer, David Van Meter, won the silver award for innovation at the Learning In Practice Awards. The annual award ceremony was held on Sept. 30, 2013 in Palm Springs, Calif. It recognizes industry leaders who have demonstrated excellence in the design and delivery of employee development programs.
Van Meter was nominated in the innovation category, which recognizes individuals who have marshaled resources and applied innovative practices, processes and/or technologies in a new and groundbreaking way to address a significant business or organizational opportunity in the past year.
“It is a great honor to be recognized at the national and global level for our work,” says Van Meter. “This award validates my team’s hard work over the past few years as we have explored how Knowledge Management would become a strategic contributor at Infinite Campus. We have only just begun this journey, and we have much left to accomplish.”
When the Knowledge Management team was first formed, Van Meter recognized Infinite Campus customers needed an efficient way to learn about the product. The new practices needed to be based on repeatable processes that facilitated individual learning and the attainment of the corporate vision.
Focusing on blended learning and personalization, the team created new tools and customized content and delivery methods for customers. The tools included simulations, videos, assessments, instructor-led classes and more to meet diverse learning styles. By incorporating these practices, Van Meter’s objective was to increase customer retention and provide the best knowledge experience for the end user.
“To be recognized as one of the nation’s top organizations for innovation in their field is truly impressive,” says Charlie Kratsch, Infinite Campus Founder and CEO. “The Chief Learning Officer Award reflects not only Van Meter’s leadership, but the team’s hard work, commitment and dedication.”
Now in its tenth year, the Learning In Practice Awards are determined by a panel of industry experts and executives from some of the world's largest and most respected companies. Gold, silver and bronze awards are given annually to two broad classes. Practitioner awards recognize CLOs and qualified senior learning leaders for their work within their organizations. Provider awards recognize qualified service providers, vendors and consultants for their work on behalf of a client organization.
