Leiter’s Compounding Pharmacy Expanding to New Compounding Facility in South San Jose, California
San Jose, California (PRWEB) October 10, 2013 -- Leiter's Compounding Pharmacy, a retail pharmacy and sterile and non-sterile compounding lab in San Jose, California, is pleased to announce it has broken ground on its new facility in South San Jose. Designed to be state-of-the-art, the facility will exceed current sterile and non-sterile compounding standards and is set to begin compounding operations in Quarter 1, 2014. The full service walk-in pharmacy and retail store, in its current Park Ave. location, will continue to service the community as it has for decades.
The new 22,000 square foot facility will more than quadruple Leiter’s current compounding facility in San Jose. It is set to be the first of its kind in the world, with a 2,000 square foot sterile compounding lab and a 5,000 square foot non-sterile lab equipped with a state-of-the-art instantaneous microbial detection system. The facility will also include a fully-staffed call center to provide enhanced customer service.

Leiter’s Compounding Pharmacy is a Pharmacy Compounding Accreditation Board (PCAB) Accredited pharmacy, a distinction awarded only to compounding pharmacies that meet the highest quality standards. The Great Oaks facility will undergo PCAB certification inspection upon its opening.
