Fluitec Introduces Boost VR to Reduce Costs of Cleaning Lube Systems
Jersey City, NJ (PRWEB) October 11, 2013 -- Fluitec, a world leader in industrial lubricant technology, announced the introduction of Boost VR, a new product designed to clean deposits from lube systems. Boost VR employs a unique synthetic chemistry THAT increases the solubility of the in-service fluid allowing it to resolubilize system deposits. This is gentler and safer than current practices and, because it is fully compatible with the lubricant, can actually enhance ITS long-term performance.
Deposits are Damaging
Sludge and varnish in turbines and compressors are well known to disrupt reliable operations. Deposits will adversely impact plant availability and increase maintenance costs. If plants don't proactively control deposits in turbine and compressor oil systems, varnish and sludge need to be removed during planned outages to restore system reliability.
Rotating equipment such as pumps, turbines and compressors have been plagued with reliability issues due to lube deposits. Although effective, the detergents used in such a flush impair lubricant performance. Even miniscule amounts of residual cleaner can have an impact on the new oil put back into the system after the flush.
Boost VR is API Group V synthetic oil that is fully compatible with in service turbine, compressor and hydraulic oils. Treating a contaminated system with a small amount of Boost VR three months prior to an outage results in a clean system. This eliminates the need for a chemical flush, leading to significant savings.
Greg Livingstone, Fluitec's EVP said, “We have seen more and more problems resulting from poorly executed flushes, resulting in reduced oil performance and reliability problems. Boost VR is a safer, cheaper alternative.”
Fluitec has made Boost VR available internationally in pails, drums and totes.
