Nielsen-Kellerman Releases New SpeedCoach GPS Model Featuring Heart Rate

The SpeedCoach® GPS with Heart Rate now includes a Bluetooth® Smart heart rate monitor belt, enabling rowers to get real-time measurements of their heart rate directly on the display screen. Rowers will now be able to set goals, maximize training, identify a target pace and improve performance based off the real-time feedback. Other features include two flex fields, which allow rowers to customize display viewing, and time of day.
Based on NK’s patented and industry-leading SpeedCoach GPS software, the Heart Rate unit features a precision 5Hz GPS module for speed and distance as well as NK’s proprietary 3-axis Surge Rate technology for stroke rate. Completely wireless, the SpeedCoach GPS with Heart Rate also offers a 200-point memory, allowing rowers to store and review the details of their workout. With the option of GPS or impeller, speed over land or water is accurately measured and clearly displayed.
