AttorneyOne.com, a recognized authority on law, updated the website recently and they are now actively providing expert opinion in view of the recent news on Mirena lawsuits.
On September 4, a woman filed a lawsuit in Pennsylvania Eastern District Court (case no. 2:2013cv05168) alleging that she suffered serious injuries, including uterus perforation, from her Mirena IUD. The Mirena IUD, manufactured by Bayer, is an intrauterine device (IUD) that is inserted into the uterus as a contraceptive method. In the lawsuit the plaintiff claims that the Mirena IUD migrated to her peritoneal cavity and she had to undergo a laparoscopy procedure.
On September 17, a Florida resident filed a lawsuit in Illinois Southern District Court (case no. 3:2013cv00956) alleging that she suffered pelvic inflammatory disease from her Mirena IUD. In the lawsuit, the plaintiff claims that she was implanted with the Mirena IUD in 2006 and, a few months later, she was diagnosed with ovarian cysts and pelvic inflammatory disease.
Taking into consideration the latest developments, AttorneyOne.com updated the website and, now, can actively provide an expert opinion including how to get in contact with legal counsel easily and inexpensively in case of alleged Mirena IUD severe complications. Sean Burke, director of Media Relations at AttorneyOne.com, adds that the relevant information illustrates that people continue to file Mirena IUD lawsuits. "For that reason," he continues, "our focus should squarely fall on getting the word out and assisting people in finding the right legal assistance.”
According to court data updated on September 11, there were 159 actions pending in the Mirena IUD Multidistrict Litigation (MDL no. 2434, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York).
