Woodloch Pines Family Resort Introduces the Road Trip Concierge®
Hawley, PA (PRWEB) October 10, 2013 -- To some, fall signals the start of school and the end of summer fun. For those in the know, however, fall becomes the greatest season to travel and immerse oneself in a landscape painted in color that is unrivaled the rest of the year. Gazing at incredible fall foliage alone could keep even the most finicky traveler occupied for hours, and when traveling with children, that is half the battle. After hearing the “wartime” stories of car rides and seeing the faces of guests upon arrival, Woodloch Pines, an all-inclusive family resort located in the Poconos, set out to change the tune. As tens of thousands leave their urban dwellings seeking a peep of the brilliant color palate Mother Nature offers each autumn, the journey can be part of the charm. The true challenge is ensuring that the good time starts the moment guests leave their home.
The entire goal of the Road Trip Concierge is to help make memories at every point of the vacation, even the getting-there part. Brooke Kiesendahl James assumed the title this past summer after the family ownership unanimously voted her a natural fit for the position. As a young mother of a pre-schooler and another child on the way, Brooke always has a plan of action in getting from point A to point B with a smile on her face and a story to tell. Equipped with natural instinct, a personal collection of secret weapons and tools, and a social staff of over 30 fun-loving individuals, the Road Trip Concierge® is ready to hit the pavement.
All guests are welcome to use Woodloch’s resident expert in planning their trip to the family resort or anywhere for that matter. Her webpage is loaded with links, tips and suggestions year round and for leaf-peeping travel, downloadable games and activities, coloring pages, en-route photo-op suggestions, off-the-beaten-track driving routes and even songs and stories. There is also a social aspect to the website where guests can share what worked for them and build a support system and community around this age-old topic.
The premiere of the Road Trip Concierge® comes at an especially beautiful time of the year, when the hillsides of the Pocono Mountains are exploding with vibrant color. The Pocono Mountains are home to more than 127 varieties of shrubs, trees, and plants whose leaves change color, a number larger than anywhere else in the country. Just this week, fall foliage peaked; the trees at Woodloch are at 75% of their full fall colors, and 80% of the leaves are still on the trees. Additionally, the Travel Channel just voted Route 507 around Lake Wallenpaupack, a mere 15-minute drive from the family resort, one of the best spots for leaf peeping.
So pack up the kids and hit the road, though we all know driving through the crayon box of nature won’t keep them occupied long. “Vacation should start the moment the family is packed tightly in the car (or plane),” explained Brooke Kiesendahl James. “Some of our best family memories are what happened on the way to where we wanted to be. Take it from me, in a family-owned company, we work together, travel together, eat together and play together. We have had to get creative to keep the peace during all of our travels, especially knowing all of the places we still intend to go.”
The Road Trip Concierge® can be reached via email at roadtrip(at)woodloch(dot)com or by visiting http://www.roadtripconcierge.com, and all guests are encouraged to utilize the services in planning their trips. All consultations and resources are free of charge.
