RDT, a leading Israeli vendor of advanced IT solutions, announces the acquisition of TestWise as part of a strategy that will significantly expand its communication test and measurement division, especially through the sale of gigabit Ethernet test equipment from Xena Networks.
“A major reason for this acquisition was to leverage RDT’s expertise in Xena's product line which is seeing significant growth in Israel and Russia”, said Avi Tiv, RDT’s CEO. “Other vendors we will be adding to our portfolio by acquiring Testwise include SwiftTest, Veryx, Sunblaze, Apposite, TEK, Arca, Candela and Solera - all of which will strengthen our ability to deliver unique solutions and quality products to our customers."
Established in Tel Aviv in 1963, RDT is a pioneer in the Israeli hi-tech sector. The Group was one of the initial investors in the local industry and stands behind some of Israel's earliest IT success stories.
TestWise is well known in the Israel telecom market as a supplier of test solutions in a wide variety of fields, including infrastructure, security, monitoring & troubleshooting, load simulation, maintenance and others. In recent years they have established themselves as a leading supplier of Xena's award-winning test equipment.
"Testwise has been a first-class partner for us in Israel, and we are confident RDT will continue to provide Xena's customers with the same level of professional service and support," said Jacob Nielsen, CEO at Xena Networks.
"TestWise has successfully focused on meeting the test and measurement needs of a diverse customer base including many big-name companies," confimed Avi Tiv, RDT’s CEO. "Moving forward RDT will allocate significant resources to comprehensively address the needs of this market, with a tight focus on price/performance, technological excellence and customer satisfaction."
