Advanced Personnel Systems, Inc. (APS), the maker of SmartSearch® recruiting business software, added a Video Learning Channel to increase user adoption of its industry-leading product. Produced by the SmartSearch® Customer Care Manager, the Learning Channel features recorded webinar sessions of key topics such as sourcing and searching for candidates, matching and tracking candidates against open jobs, creating screening questions, paperless doc management, running reports, and more.

“Video is definitely the way training is going. Nobody has the time or patience to read a printed manual anymore,” said Doug Coull, CEO at APS. “We find that online learning is superior to printed manual for a number of reasons. For one, it’s easier and much more efficient to update videos as technology changes—which it does very frequently.”

With the Video Learning Channel, users can also access videos of functions specific to them and skip parts of the software that are not currently needed.

The Video Learning Channel was launched as part of the Version 17 upgrade earlier this year, and is expanding every quarter with the addition of new and updated topics. The SmartSearch® online support center was also upgraded to streamline the process of reporting issues, bugs, or error messages, and now allows clients to post questions, make suggestions and monitor status of fixes, projects or custom programming requests.
