Tagra's Innovative Technologies Provide Formulators a New Kind of Freedom Inside a Range of Encapsulated Sun Screens and UV Filters
Netanya, Israel (PRWEB) October 12, 2013 -- Known for its high-quality encapsulated actives and pigments, Tagra is proud to introduce its new SunCap™ products, offering the most extensive range of approved organic and inorganic UV filters.
The unique patented microencapsulation technology (US Patent Application No. 61/770,773) developed by Tagra, is a non-breakable and transparent micron size microcapsule of both organic and inorganic UV filters which stabilize and prevent the release of the UV filter into the surroundings allowing to: (a) retain the sunscreen on the superficial layers of the skin; (b) maintain and improve the safety and photo protection ability against the detrimental effects of UV radiation; (c) reduce systemic absorption; (d) increase photostability; (e) achieve high SPF values by overcoming incompatibilities with other UV filters.
Currently available within the SunCap™ range are AvoCap™ - encapsulated avobenzone: 40% payload, average particle size of ̴10 micron, photostable, no crystallization issues, In-Vivo tested for SPF, powder form ; and TitanCap™ - encapsulated TiO2 : 80% payload, average particle size of ̴10 micron (TiO2 primary particle size – 170nm) powder form.
