Apartment Complaint Trends Released Today by RPA

Rankings are based solely upon tenant filed complaints handled by the agency and are not location biased. The report includes data results from all complaint types and ranks the results from #1 to #10 with number one being the most common complaint type. This years finding rank Deposit Refund Disputes as the number one problem among tenants nation-wide. "We aren't surprised by the #1 ranking" claims Rental Protection Agency Director Scott Paxton, "But we are concerned about the rapid climb in bed bug related complaints which this year rank as the 2nd most common apartment complaint filed by tenants."
The report does hint to some improvement in the economy according to the drop in Foreclosure related complaints. Tenants are not filing as many complaints about being kicked out due to foreclosures which can be taken as a sign that the economy is improving.

4- Apartment Noise Complaints
5- Health Hazards / Safety Related Problems

10- Lease Terminations
