(PRWEB UK) 12 October 2013 -- A unique discovery down a cobbled mews, the Notting Hill boutique has been allowed to expand and re-position itself taking over the entire Union Jack ‘flag building’ which has become a landmark to West London locals.
Now covering two floors, the retail space has a beautifully appointed Bridal floor entered through an ornate golden door which sits below Alice’s design studio. With her tailors and pattern cutters in the adjoining building, the mews provides a truly personal and unique atelier shopping experience in which to choose and create gowns to accompany the most poignant and memorable moments in a woman’s life.
The first floor Bridal Salon, consisting of two private rooms, displays the entire Temperley Bridal offering including the latest made-to-order collections, the classic Temperley Bridal collection of the most celebrated styles, and ready-to-wear options from the seasonal mainline collections in white and ivory. Within this bridal haven there is also a wide selection of bridal accessories including veils, shrugs and tiaras as well selections for the mother of the bride and bridesmaids.
The ground floor houses the most stand-out and one-off gowns including current season, archive pieces and Temperley Icon dresses and boasts a sweeping staircase to the newly created first floor dedicated to the ethereal Temperley Bridal collection. One-to-one appointments, fittings and bespoke tailoring are conducted in private rooms on both floors.
The exterior of the building has had new larger windows fitted for a daylight filled store, and the flag mural has been repainted in rich tones. The interior of the boutique is in line with the elegant Mayfair Flagship; dark wooden floors throughout are punctuated with gold bespoke art-deco clothing rails, rich plum rugs and individually sourced pieces of furniture. In the philosophy of approachable luxury that Temperley is known for, the store has not lost its individual charm and character with Alice designing the overall look and feel and sourcing all fixtures and furniture.
The story behind the evolution of the Colville Mews location encapsulates the story of the company, a tale of growth; from the year 2000 when Alice produced her first collection out of the same address with one seamstress, who is still with her today, to moving the Temperley HQ above the impressive Mayfair Flagship store on Bruton Street which launched in 2012.
The company now operates six stand alone stores worldwide including; the two aforementioned in London, Los Angeles on Melrose Avenue, the Dubai Mall on Fashion Avenue and The Gate Mall in Doha, Qatar, and an outlet at Bicester Village. The online store has also just re-launched at http://www.temperleylondon.com.
