APSP Career Institute Offers Certified Hot Tub Technician Course at 2013 International Pool | Spa | Patio Expo
Alexandria, VA (PRWEB) October 11, 2013 -- The Association of Pool & Spa Professionals (APSP) Career Institute, the nation’s premier pool, spa, and hot tub education provider, will feature the APSP CHTT Certified Hot Tub Technician® course as part of its education and certification line-up at the 2013 International Pool | Spa | Patio Expo, being held Nov. 9-14 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nev.
The CHTT course is held over two days and focuses on the specialized needs of technicians who service and repair all different makes and models of hot tubs. The course, taught by experienced technicians who can explain the theory and practice of hot tub repair and field your questions, will touch on key topics such as hot tub installation, structures and finishes, service and maintenance, water chemistry, seasonal care and troubleshooting.
"Customers understand that professionals with the CHTT Certified Hot Tub Technician® designation have the technical training to troubleshoot various hot tub problems and get them back to enjoying their hot tubs quickly and efficiently," said Michael Reed, APSP Director of Professional Development. The CHTT course will be held on Sunday, Nov. 10 from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. and on Monday, Nov. 11 from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Upon completion, attendees will receive 16.0 technical credit hours of APSP continuing education. John Schaedler, CHTT, Vice President of Operations/Facilities at Aqua Quip and Brooks Holcomb, CHTT, Service Manager at Memphis Pool, will serve as instructors. Those who qualify may take the CHTT exam at Expo on Tuesday, Nov. 12.
