IDL Techni Edge Completes Latest Expansion of New Jersey Manufacturing Facility

Demand for USA-made blades is increasing. IDL Techni Edge, a leading blade manufacturer, expands their facilities to increase production.

In order to meet increased demand for its new programs and product launches, U.S.-based blade manufacturer, IDL Techni Edge, has completed a facility expansion. The expansion has added 15,000 square feet of manufacturing and warehouse space as well as increased capacity in the packaging department. Additional investments have also been made in advanced training and machinery. Prior facility expansion was completed in 2011 when the company merged two plants into their current location in Kenilworth, New Jersey. Sean Quinn, president of IDL Techni Edge, states that he expects this recent expansion to increase production capacity, improve product quality, and increase warehouse efficiency.

Company founder Bert Ghavami launched Techni Edge in 1979 with the engineering mastery to put a sharper, longer-lasting edge on blades. He and his associates developed custom equipment designed to produce the highest quality blades at affordable costs. In 2008, IDL Tools acquired Techni Edge and renamed the company IDL Techni Edge. Today they manufacture over 1000 different blades in their Kenilworth, New Jersey factory from industrial-strength blades used for heavy-duty construction to micro-edge blades used for delicate surgical operations.
