Tidewater Physical Therapy will host the second in a series of recruit757 scholarship workshops for football players and their parents at its clinic near Battlefield Boulevard in Chesapeake, Va. on Tuesday, Oct. 22.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for athletes and parents. The workshop will start at 7 p.m. and run until 9 p.m.

The Tidewater Physical Therapy Battlefield Clinic is located at 108 Knells Ridge Boulevard, Suite 200.

"Learn how to plan for your college recruitment and how to execute your game plan,” said Andy Hilton, founder of recruit757, a scouting and video service for colleges who turn to the region to look for quality athletes.

“This is everything off the field that relates to the next steps in your football career. We'll cover NCAA rules and regulations, the NCAA Clearinghouse, a timeline for your recruitment, what to expect from the recruiting process, financial planning, academics, and much more.”

Sponsored by BayPort Credit Union, the workshop will “cover NCAA rules and regulations, the NCAA Clearinghouse, how to tackle the SAT, what to expect from the recruiting process, financial planning, academics and much more.”

  •     Michael Gibbs of the Old Dominion University Athletic Compliance Department
  •     BayPort Credit Union representative on college financing
  •     Michael Scott, father of an NBA rookie, on the parent perspective
  •     Lew Johnston, Head Football Coach at Nansemond Suffolk Academy and formerly of Western Branch High School, on the recruiting process and what colleges expect
  •     Tidewater Physical Therapy’s Battlefield location Clinical Director Renee Midgett, PT on nutrition and physical well-being
