Sensorstream Bundles Up Birdie for the Auction Block
Boston, MA (PRWEB) October 13, 2013 -- Sensorstream is pleased to announce the auction of its Birdie NFC Golf Ball Marker inclusive of all associated intellectual property on eBay. The winning bidder will be able to roll out worldwide retail and pro shop distribution of the innovative plastic golf ball markers embedded with a microchip. The eBay listing number is: 281183963658
“Given that there are over 20,000 golf course alone in the United States,” commented Sensorstream’s founder Tom Rapko, “we frankly don’t have the time or manpower to build out a robust wholesale and retail distribution of the product.”
“Sensorstream is all about innovation and developing active use products for the consumer market. We like to invent and transition, invent and transition, that’s our strength. We’re 100% focused right now on our next big project which is called Ristwatchz,” Tom continued. “We decided to bundle up Birdie into an exciting eBay auction which will give some hungry entrepreneur the opportunity to take this product to the next level, from either building up a sales network, licensing the design, or both.”
Birdie, which is embedded with an NFC computer microchip, is capable of wirelessly storing and receiving digital data. It was publicly released at the 2013 PGA Golf Expo in Las Vegas in August. Birdie is available in six translucent colors; cherry, lime, lemon, orange, blueberry, and grape. Birdie can be used to share contact information, pay for course expenses, and even Tweet depending on how the user chooses to program it.
Sensorstream and Birdie are registered trademarks; the Birdie NFC Golf Ball Marker is currently patent-pending. Sensorstream is a privately held start-up company based in Boston focused on the design of active use and wearable consumer electronic devices. All images and content copyright Sensorstream.
