HeuLab Launches Multi-Platform Version of Lesson Delivery System
Singapore (PRWEB) October 15, 2013 -- In keeping with the norm of the technological age, more and more educators are moving away from the traditional classroom atmosphere in favor of one that's more virtual in an effort to improve the teaching experience. On the opposite side of the coin, using interactive and innovative technology is within students' comfort zone, as most were born into the digital age. Thus, HeuLab, an independent learning software development company, invented HeuX, an integrated lesson delivery system that leverages current technology in the classroom. To further fluidize the lesson delivery process, HeuX became compatible with mobile devices as of September 30th.
HeuLab was established in 2002 in an effort to confront the need for an interactive technological environment in learning institutions. The HeuX lesson delivery system materialized in 2011, though it was only available for the Windows 7 platform. The revolutionary software allowed educators to leverage existing learning content such as PDF files, illustrations, diagrams, and slideshow presentations to create lesson plans from their existing resources. Now, the software is available on not only Windows 7 platforms, but also Windows 8, iOS, and Android, too.
"HeuLab is constantly looking at improving our product offerings to cater to learners' needs and changing technological trends," says Soon Jinn, the CEO of HeuLab. "This cross-platform version of HeuX fulfills the rapid demand for a new 'Bring-Your-Own-Device' teaching and learning model and at the same time, brings an interactive collaborative aspect in teaching and learning inside and out of the classroom."
The development of HeuX and its new mobile capabilities facilitates a sort of student-centric learning: it capitalizes on existing functionality of smart devices to encourage students to interact and learn in a self-directed fashion. Educators are finding that this "new normal" of teaching is revolutionary – it reduces the amount of apprehension tied to student participation and allows for a more effective assessment of student progress.
Now that more classrooms are able to use HeuX due to its mobile capabilities, it will encourage the 'Bring Your Own Device,' or BYOD, teaching model that is already popularizing. BYOD teaching structures bring education in the form of entertainment, which is one of the most effective ways to keep students engaged.
The usage of mobile devices in the classroom has gained momentum in recent years, which only means that developers will have to stay on top of product extensions and adaptations. HeuLab is up to the challenge.
