Third Lane Technologies Unveils New Generation of Business PBX and Unified Communications Software
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) October 14, 2013 -- Third Lane Technologies, an innovator in IP PBX and unified communications solutions for businesses, Internet telephony service providers and call center operators, has debuted the next generation of the company’s product suite. Substantial enhancements to Thirdlane PBX, Thirdlane Multi Tenant PBX and the associated Thirdlane Cloud PBX, and Thirdlane Call Center add a range of new features, improve the user experience and support greater scalability. Whether they are deployed on a customer’s own hardware or in a hosted or cloud environment, all Thirdlane products provide advanced communications features, high availability and ready customization at a very competitive price point.
“The numerous updates we’ve made to our software enable it to be deployed in a variety of environments and to support companies of any size,” said Alex Epshteyn, president and CEO of Third Lane Technologies. “Thirdlane PBX, multi tenant and call center software are based on open communications engines, so reseller and integrator partners have incredible flexibility in how they customize the products to meet the needs of individual customers or industries, and customers in turn may choose on-premises or cloud deployments. These products provide maximal functionality and flexibility at a time when customers are looking to future-proof their voice communications solutions.”
The Thirdlane product suite includes:
Thirdlane PBX—An IP PBX and unified communications solution based on Asterisk®, the world’s most popular open source voice communications engine. Thirdlane will now offer the PBX exclusively through the company’s channel partners worldwide, who may choose the hardware, connectivity options, IP clients and endpoint devices that best meet their customers’ requirements. Thirdlane PBX enhances the Asterisk communications framework by adding redundancy, high availability and management tools, as well as end user applications.
Thirdlane Multi Tenant PBX—Builds on Thirdlane PBX to deliver its functionality, high availability and redundancy to service providers and their customers. The product supports multiple virtual PBXs on a single Asterisk server, enabling service providers and resellers to efficiently host advanced business phone systems for small or distributed companies, while integrating with service provider portals, billing systems, customer relationship management (CRM) systems and other components of the service provider architecture.
Thirdlane Cloud PBX—Provides all the features of Thirdlane Multi Tenant PBX for larger environments. To achieve the required scalability and availability, the company has integrated the open source Kamailio server, which is able to initiate thousands of calls per second, with multiple Asterisk servers and with Thirdlane management software. The result for customers is a highly scalable, redundant and customizable cloud-based voice communications solution.
Thirdlane Call Center—May be used in the cloud or on premises to provide customers with the ability to deploy the software on demand. The product offers features that can economically support professional call centers or, for organizations with more basic requirements, call queuing and call distribution.
“The integration between Kamailio, Thirdlane and Asterisk is a natural one given the open nature of all of these products,” said Daniel-Constantin Mierla, co-founder of the Kamailio project. “Used together, they greatly improve scalability without adding complexity and expenses and allow customers to put in place a business communications solution that will grow with them over time.”
James Passingham, founder and technical director of Foehn, a managed communications provider based in London, commented: “Third Lane have always contributed and added value to the Asterisk project. Their new technology suite will further enable Foehn to use its IP communications expertise to bring innovative solutions to a market with increasing demands. We have continued to grow our special relationship with Third Lane and this further enables us to offer even greater value to our clients.”
