Stuff-A-Bagel Owners to Raise Money for “No Kid Hungry” Program

The owners of Muffins on Main Street announce the kick-off of their fundraising efforts for No Kid Hungry, to begin at the Farmingdale Street Fair on Saturday, October 12th.

Muffins On Main Street, a new muffin delivery service operated by the owners of Stuff-A-Bagel and Main Street Caterers, will be raising money for the No Kid Hungry program throughout the month of October.

“We'll be kicking off our fundraising efforts today at the Farmingdale Street Fair,” says Phil Cirrone, owner-operator of Stuff-A-Bagel and its sister companies, Main Street Caterers and Muffins on Main Street. “A percentage of every muffin we sell will be donated to the No Kid Hungry project. This is a powerful, action-oriented organization working to reduce child poverty in America.”

“This should absolutely be a national priority,” says Cirrone. “One in five American children lives in a household that struggles to put food on the table. We'll be selling muffins individually and by the box at the fair. We want to raise awareness about our online muffin delivery platform, where the fundraising efforts will continue. We're hoping to raise a minimum of $1,000 by the end of October.”

No Kid Hungry works to facilitate connections between children in need and effective nutrition programs through its non-profit “Share Our Strength” program. Through its Cooking Matters branch, the organization also conducts educational and awareness-raising campaigns about childhood hunger.
