To encourage healthy habits and active play, local children, families, and school organizations are invited to exchange their unopened, packaged Halloween candy for chances to win prizes, including an XBOX One Day One Ed., at the 4th Annual Delta Dental Health Theatre’s Great Candy Exchange located at the Vetta Sports Soccerdome on Friday, November 1. All candy collected at this event will be sent overseas to our troops, along with toothbrushes through “A Soldier’s Wish List.”

The Great Candy Exchange will feature live shows, face painting, balloon art, four bounce houses, healthy food to munch on, educational information, and giveaways. In addition, the children will have a meet-and-greet with popular characters like Sir Smiles-A-Lot, the Tooth Fairy, Tooth Wizard, Plaqueman, and Chef Louigi. Children are encouraged to show up in their Halloween costumes, take pictures in the fun photo booth, and participate in the costume contest for a chance to win a prize for the best costume.

For every one pound of candy a child turns in, he or she will receive one raffle ticket towards the XBOX grand prize. Participants can increase their chances of winning the drawing by donating new, unopened underwear, socks, soap, and personal hygiene items to the Little Bit Foundation to help local boys and girls meet their basic needs. One extra ticket will be given to each child who gives away one or more personal hygiene items. Furthermore, schools, clubs, and organizations that bring the most attendees or surrender the most candy will receive special prizes.

The Great Candy Exchange is free to the public. To learn more about the event that promotes healthy smiles, bodies, eating, and active play, please visit http://www.vettasports.com.
