Garmin Forerunner 620 and 220 Delivery November 1st Says HRWC
Bozeman, MT (PRWEB) October 13, 2013 -- Garmin Forerunner 620 and the Forerunner 220 shipping dates have now been moved back from October 25th to November 1st according to the Heart Rate Watch Company.
"This will impact runners who plan on racing in the New York City marathon because it is November 3rd," says Rusty Squire, President of the Heart Rate Watch Company. He adds, "With initial shipments moved to Friday, November 1st dealers will not receive the product until November 5th or 6th."
Brisk Pre-Sales
"Both the Forerunner 620 and the Garmin Forerunner 220 are quite revolutionary and significantly upgraded from anything that has preceded them," says Squire. He adds, "The sales of both products have been quite good in spite of all the economic uncertainty and we are confident they will be the number one sellers for the Holiday season."
Upgrades
"Both watches went to color 108px by 108px screens and most watches are around 60px so this made them much easier to read and clearer," says Squire. He adds, "If you have great vision that may not be a big deal but for people with near vision issues it is huge."
"The watches now are significantly lighter, the Forerunner 620 is 1.6 ounces, a full ounce lighter than its predecessor the Garmin 610, and the 220 is 1.4 ounces making it the lightest fully integrated GPS running watch in the world," says Squire.
"The 220 incorporated an accelerometer for indoor running and the 620 incorporated an accelerometer into the chest strap to get a whole new and unique data series that no other watch has ever produced," says Squire. He adds, "The 620 can do cadence without a foot pod, measures run oscillation which is vertical energy and can measure foot contact time with the ground."
Availability, Pricing and Ordering
The watches will be available for shipping November 5th. Forerunner 220 is $249.99 without heart rate strap and $299.99 with while the Forerunner 620 is $399.99 without heart rate strap and $449.99 with heart rate.
Both watches are on sale now and can be ordered at the Heart Rate Watch Company website. "You are welcome to call us at 866-586-7129 if you'd like help figuring out which watch will best meet your running needs," says Squire.
