"The intense creativity that once defined Phish is back in full, and the band is cranking out jams and shows at a level and consistency unseen in years."

Finalize your New Year's plans in downtown Manhattan with Phish. The band returns to Madison Square Garden this December with a four-night New Year’s Run to ring in 2014. Starting on December 28, the multi-genre, highly improvisational band will perform its lengthy jams at “The World’s Most Famous Arena.” Rock into the new year with Phish tickets from

Drawing from a vast body of work from almost 25 years of playing music together, Phish will mix up their set list each night that they play at MSG. Diehard fans may want to attend more than one show to get their full Phish fix. There will be general admission on the floor, split into a front and back section.

Phish debuted at MSG on Dec. 30 in 1994. The band has since jammed at the Manhattan arena for 26 additional shows, including New Year’s shows the past two years.

In 2012, Phish debuted the song “Garden Party” and sang “Lawn Boy” a cappella at their New Year’s Eve performance. The stage was covered with artificial turf, with actors playing garden sports like croquet and badminton. During the third set, the band arrived on stage via golf carts, swinging golf balls into the audience. After the clock ticked down to midnight, Auld Lang Syne was performed, balloons fell from the ceiling and cannons fired ping-pong balls into the crowd.

Coming off the heels of the first fall tour since 2010, Phish promises to bring renewed energy and creativity to their signature sound. “The intense creativity that once defined Phish is back in full, and the band is cranking out jams and shows at a level and consistency unseen in years,” wrote Mr. Miner’s Phish Thoughts. “But instead of doing it with one style of jamming as in their peaks of the past, they are doing it with all the tools in their thirty-year repertoire.”
